Alinghi Hypocrisy
As someone who was in the press room for the so called "protocol announcement" two days after the final 32nd America's Cup race and having moderately followed developments, I find these two court related statements, hyprocritcal and insulting to the sailing community.

 "Lucien Masmejan, Alinghi's chief counsel, said he was obliged to proceed with the case. "As the defender and the trustee of the America's Cup, we have to be sure to accept only valid challenges. It's our duty as the trustee of the cup. "

  "Second, the defender has a right to know what type of boat is challenging."  SNG, he insisted, "needs to determine what type of boat to build, and what this boat is or will be is a mystery. "

A favorite person of mine, Julian Hocken media coordinator for different events, sums it up well when he said (during the briefing on the proceedure for the presentation docking event during the last AC)..

  "Of course..... it is at this point where it could all go horribly wrong."
